Intentional Creation Party: Sunday, January 17th, 2010 7-9pm.
An opportunity for a global shift in consciousness is upon us! We are aware that the old ways of creating and being in the world are no longer working. This liberating shift in consciousness is our invitation to get quiet and clarify our intentions for this upcoming year. It is so very important to align our hearts and minds in the direction of our Soul’s path, so that all aspects of our selves are working with a singularity of purpose in this upcoming year. The Intentional Creation Party offers a time of reflection to support this inner work and creating from the heart.Many of you may have become aware of a variety of ‘stories’ or perceptions you held about yourself this year. You may have applied conscious effort to understand these stories and release them lovingly as new ways of being in relationship with yourself have developed. In the tradition of the Dagara tribe of West Central Africa, we all carry each of the five energies of the Dagara medicine wheel within us – Water, Nature, Fire, Mineral and Earth. 2009 represents the Mineral year, while 2010 holds the energy of the Earth. According to this tradition Mineral people are known as storytellers and the topics of these stories vary, including stories of creation. Earth people are a direct reflection of the energy of the Earth. Folks who identify themselves as Earth people typically empower people, nurture them and help them feel at home. Earth people remind us that we are safe to be seen as the beautiful people we are, and therefore create a sense of belonging, or ‘coming home’.
Borrowing from this wonderfully insightful tradition, we come together on the Winter Solstice to honor our old stories of the Mineral year and tap into the energies of the Earth to focus on our Soul’s purpose. As we create our intentions for 2010 what we are really working towards is anchoring this Earth energy feeling of ‘coming home’ to our Soul’s purpose within our very own hearts.
